Rate My Plate Service

Medicspot offers the Rate My Plate service free of charge to anyone who wishes to receive feedback and suggestions on their meals as part of their health and weight loss journey. By engaging with the service (including submitting meal photos, recipes, or other content), you agree to the terms and conditions below.

Use of submissions

• By submitting meal photos, recipes, comments, or other content through the Rate My Plate service, you confirm that you have the right to share that content and that it does not infringe any third-party copyright or intellectual property rights.
• You grant Medicspot a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, edit, adapt, publish, and display your submissions (including any coach replies relating to your submissions) on our website, social media channels, marketing materials, and other digital platforms.
• This licence may include the use of anonymised or edited excerpts for educational, promotional, or service-improvement purposes. Medicspot will never publish personally identifiable content without your explicit written consent.
• This licence is transferable only to sub-processors acting on our behalf and may be revoked by written request to remove your content.
• Where recipes are submitted, you confirm that you are the author or have the right to share the recipe and grant Medicspot permission to publish, adapt, and distribute it for educational purposes.

Medicspot may moderate, edit, or remove any submission to ensure it is accurate, appropriate, safe, or compliant with our moderation standards and applicable law.

We may refuse or remove submissions that are unlawful, offensive, defamatory, infringe copyright, promote unsafe or extreme diets, or otherwise conflict with the CAP Code, CMA fairness principles, or public health guidance.

We are not responsible or liable for user-generated content published under this service. You remain personally responsible for any content you submit, and you agree not to post material that could cause harm, infringe rights, or mislead others.

Privacy and data protection

By participating in Rate My Plate, you consent to Medicspot processing your personal data (including health-related data inferred from your submissions) in accordance with our Privacy Policy. This processing includes using anonymised or edited versions of your submissions for public display. You may withdraw your consent and request removal of your published content at any time by contacting us through our support page. We will remove your content within a reasonable timeframe, subject to legal and operational limitations.

Respecting your privacy

We will not publish any personally identifiable information alongside your submissions without your explicit consent.

Where necessary, we may anonymise, crop, or edit submissions to protect privacy and maintain suitability for public publication.

For transparency, we may display the first name or nickname you choose to provide, but never medical or contact information.

We recommend you avoid including identifiable people, backgrounds, or metadata (e.g., location tags) in photos you submit.

Service availability

Rate My Plate is offered free of charge but may be paused, amended, or withdrawn at any time, without notice.

We will act fairly and proportionately when doing so and may suspend access if we reasonably believe the service is being misused, abused, or used in a way inconsistent with its purpose.

If your access is restricted, you may contact support to appeal or request clarification.

If you repeatedly post inappropriate or harmful content, we may permanently remove your access and, if necessary, report serious concerns (e.g., risk of harm, illegal material) to appropriate authorities.

Medicspot reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. If material changes are made, we’ll update the date above and, where feasible, notify active participants.

Continued participation after notice of material changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree, you may withdraw consent and request deletion of your submissions at any time.
